It's time Philadelphia Eagles fans. This can't be ignored anymore.

Jalen Hurts is a problem for this team.

The Eagles fell to the Los Angeles Chargers 22-19 in Week 14 on Monday Night Football. Hurts had arguably the worst game of his career, completing under 50% of his passes for 240 yards, throwing four interceptions, and having a fumble in the loss.

Breaking down why Hurts proved to be the problem with the team

There's an argument to be made that the third interception went off A.J. Brown's hands and was picked off. The rest of the interceptions, though, were completely on Hurts. That includes the first half play where he threw an interception and fumbled on the same play, and they threw an interception on the next pass.

Most of his passes were either off-target, high, or too hot. Hurts had too many balls thrown that had a ton of heat on them, so it almost made them tough catches to make.

There were some great moments from Hurts, though, especially on the final drive in overtime, where he made a great pass to DeVonta Smith on third and long at the beginning. Hurts' interception at the end of the drive was all on him as he had pressure on him, but he tried to force it to Brow,n and it was tipped and picked.

This was the first time in Hurts' career that he had four interceptions in a game. He went into the contest with just two interceptions, and all of a sudden, it was almost like he lost all his confidence.

Another big issue for Hurts was scrambling the ball. He only had eight yards on four carries, but Justin Herbert had 66 rushing yards on 10 carries. That should never have happened, as Hurts is the superior athlete to Herbert, but it was Herbert who looked better, and he had a broken bone in his hand. Herbert wasn't scared of being tackled, but Hurts wouldn't take a hit.

So much for the idea of doing whatever it takes to win a game.

Sure, there's going to be criticism towards Eagles offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo with some of his insane third-down wide receiver bubble screen calls or Brown dropping at least three passes, with one being a touchdown, but at the end of the day, the blame has to be on Hurts. He made the mistakes, had the turnovers, and cost this team the game. It's a shame to do it, but the number one blame is on Hurts for this game.

Eagles fans have defended Hurts for so long for how he has played, but this is inexcusable. He was bad, and it's time to face the music that, for at least the 2025 season, this version of Hurts isn't going to help this team win a Super Bowl.
