Who says there's nothing much to talk about once the NFL seasons ends? No one believes that, right? Come on. Then again, we only hear that from casual football fans. Yes, they exist. There just aren't any in the Philadelphia Eagles fan base. That concept is foreign to us.
Our days are spent checking our cell phones and tablets for any information related to Philly, whether that be the end of an era (Darius Slay's reported release) or a rival team's signing (Deebo Samuel's reported acquisition by the Washington Commanders).
Yes friends we bleed green, and we could care less if one of our Birds is being mentioned because of something they're doing on the field or off. Recently, while perusing the net, we came across two pieces of news that caught our eye.
Check this out if you missed it.
Eagles news: Isaiah Rodgers to receive the key to the city in his hometown.
Isaiah Rodgers is one of Philly's impending free agents. We'll learn his fate shortly, but regardless of what happens, he's forever immortalized as a Super Bowl champion. It's for that reason, he'll be honored in his hometown of Tampa, Florida.
Rodgers and 106.5 'The Beat' in Tampa announced the news via social media.

More Eagles news: Eagles meet with Mason Taylor at the NFL Combine.
There have been hiccups from time to time. No team is perfect, but the Eagles have nailed the NFL Draft as of late. Since 2020, they have added Jalen Hurts, DeVonta Smith, Landon Dickerson, Jordan Davis, Cam Jurgens, Nakobe Dean, Jalen Carter, Nolan Smith, Quinyon Mitchell, and Cooper DeJean to their roster's nest among others.
Now, that's one heck of a winning streak. Each of those players contributed mightily to Philly's Super Bowl 59 win.
Another draft season is upon us. We expect Philly to do what they always do, address current needs while simultaneously stockpiling players for the future.
The 2025 NFL Combine is in the books, and the Birds met with several prospects. One of which is the son of a Pro Football Hall of Famer.

Mason Taylor is the son of Miami Dolphins legend Jason Taylor. Pro Football Focus recently mocked the latter to Philly at pick 32 in a 'skill-player-only mock draft'.
We'd rather Philly take an edge rusher in Round 1, but we give credit where it's due. Taylor is a stud. During his three-year run with the LSU Tigers (38 games), he racked up 129 receptions, 1,308 yards, and six receiving TDs.
