Eagles news: More butchered Micah Parsons theories, Nick Sirianni is noncommittal

You won't believe what Micah Parsons said now. You probably will believe what Nick Sirianni said.

See? This is why you never get too high after a win or too low after losses. The Philadelphia Eagles will drive you crazy if your emotional health is linked to the ebbs and flows of their regular season.

Wait! What in the heck are we talking about? That's how we were all raised since birth. Forget what we just said... And, somebody pass us an aspirin.

After collapsing vs. the Washington Commanders during a road game, Philly bounced back with the most lopsided win over the Dallas Cowboys since '44-6'. Just like that, it's almost time to begin thinking about a regular-season finale vs. the hated New York Giants on Sunday.

We at least know the time now. The game has been scheduled for a 1 pm EST kickoff. so we'll celebrate an NFC East title for a few more hours. By the way, did you hear what Micah Parsons said now?

Eagles news: It seemingly never ends with Micah Parsons.

Here's where we are. We have long known Micah Parsons would rather be an Eagle even though he has tried to pour cold water on the idea. That's why we stopped beating him up so much. His Eagles takes are off-base, but he once won with a Saquon Barkley theory.

One day, Howie Roseman will figure out how to bring him into the fold, and all that mess he ever said will be forgiven when he's helping Philly beat the Cowboys.

That day isn't today though.

Today, Micah is still our enemy. He can be friends with Saquon Barkley and Jahan Dotson. We really don't care about that, and when we hear theories like his most recent, we remember why.

Something about 'making Philly earn everything' and 'the game came down to about five plays'. Don't take our word for it. Get a load of this for yourselves.

We aren't even going to dignify that by responding. Are we serious? The final score was 41-7, wasn't it?

Of well... We've given up on Micah saying anything related to this rivalry that makes sense. We've also given up on Nick Sirianni doing anything other than playing things close to the vest.

More Eagles news: Nick Sirianni remains noncommittal about what the plan is for Saquon Barkley's run at history.

We're never satisfied as lovers of Eagles football. If Nick Sirianni says too much, people call for his head. If he doesn't say too much, that's wrong too. One thing we've come to expect... He's never going to give the opponent a competitive advantage. He'd keep practice times a secret if he could.

The Minnesota Vikings' win over the Green Bay Packers means Philly is locked into the second seed now with one game remaining in their season. The question now is this. Should Philly rest the starters and gear up for the postseason, or should they allow Saquon Barkley his chance at breaking Eric Dickerson's single-season rushing record?

Coach Sirianni, as you'd expect, hasn't given us any clues about what his plan is.

We aren't experts, and Nick hasn't told us anything. Nor, should he. Still, after seeing Saquon pulled so early vs. the Dallas Cowboys in Week 17, something tells us the coaches have plans to let him cook.

The single-season rushing record will mean so much to him, but it will also mean so much to the organization, the fans, Jeff Stoutland, and the Eagles' offensive line. If we were asking for 200 yards or more, we'd say rest him, but with 101 being the goal, we're all in.

GO FOR IT GUYS!
