This week's Philadelphia Eagles news roundup is full of developments, and most of them aren't great.

The Eagles are coming off a crushing 19-17 last-second loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in London. That dropped them to 2-3, and the team's future is uncertain after everything that happened.

After that game, though, so many questions and concerns have come up. The news has been pouring in with player comments, injury updates, and more. Here is a look at everything that's happened in Philly over the last few days.

Eagles open practice window for 4 players including Landon Dickerson, Eli Stowers

With many of their players on IR, this week was a big one for players to start opening their practice windows. That was the case for four players on the list:

  • Landon Dickerson (knee)
  • Eli Stowers (quad)
  • Jakorian Bennett (knee)
  • Grant Calcaterra (back)

The big name on the list is Dickerson after his rough Week 1 start, which landed him on IR. Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni was noncommittal about whether Dickerson would start at left guard this week.

24 players listed on first Eagles injury report for Week 6

Fans don't see 24 players pop up on the injury report every day, but that is the harsh reality in Philadelphia. We won't name all the players who are hurt since most of them either fully practiced or at least were limited, so we will highlight the big ones that could affect the roster or are the big names on the team:

  • DeVonta Smith (hamstring/toe) and Saquon Barkley (hamstring) once again did not practice
  • Jalyx Hunt (knee/ankle), Drew Kendall (knee), Michael Carter II (abdomen), and Will Shipley (foot) all were also out, with Shipley expected to miss multiple weeks and Hunt and Kendall are week-to-week
  • Landon Dickerson (knee) and Eli Stowers (quad) returned to practice for the first time since being placed on IR, as both were limited
  • Jalen Hurts was a full participant with the calf injury
  • Jonathan Greenard (ankle) was limited in practice
  • Hollywood Brown (ankle) and Marcus Epps (groin) were back at practice

Jalen Hurts opens up about calf injury

Hurts being on the injury report with the calf injury worried a lot of people after being on the report for the Friday report before the Jaguars game. He was asked about it in his press conference on Wednesday.

"It was a very unique experience, to say the least. I don't want to get into the details of kind of leading up to the game and whatnot, but I got nicked up in the Rams game."

A follow up was asked about whether the calf injury is why he went on the field early before kickoff.

"I was trying to rest, and yeah."

Nick Sirianni defends clock management at the end of Eagles' Week 5 game

One thing that Sirianni has been criticized for is how the offense threw the ball twice in field goal range and Jacksonville having a timeout they saved until the third down on the final offensive drive of the game for Philly. Sirianni defended his decision to throw in that situation.

"Leading up to Jake's kick, we practice that situation every Wednesday. Every single Wednesday, we practice what we call two-minute to four-minute. It's a little more complicated than I think people understand. My opinion is that people stop trying -- you get to around the 35, you're in range, and people stop trying to advance the ball forward. When you advance the ball forward, you make the kicker's job easier. We are all trying to do our part to help each other be at their best. You guys can look up the percentages when the ball gets in certain spots on the field leaguewide."

The Eagles left eight seconds left on the clock and the Jaguars got a long return and a game-winning field goal to seal the win.

Eagles sign 3 players and release 2 from practice squad

Philly went to work on the roster with the focus being on the practice squad. The Eagles added some talent and removed some guys from the roster.
