Philadelphia Eagles fans might be a bit concerned about their star quarterback potentially being hurt after the 31-0 throttling victory over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 15.

On the play before Jalen Hurts connected with A.J. Brown for a 27-yard touchdown pass early in the fourth quarter, some thought that Hurts might have either banged up his knee or ankle on the play. Some other thoughts, Hurts, and the starters were pulled from the game after that because the quarterback was injured.

While making his weekly appearance on SportsRadio 94 WIP, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni squashed that narrative quickly.

"You guys are speculating there a little bit. He came in and threw a dime the very next play for a touchdown and then he came out because of the lead that we had. We through everything and we're walking through today just because it's a short week. Looking forward to a really good practice."

Hurts left the Raiders game because of the league, not injury

That will come as a relief to Eagles fans, as they did not want to risk losing their starting quarterback after finally bouncing back with a great game. Hurts completed 12 of 15 passes for 175 yards and three touchdowns to zero interceptions, adding 39 yards rushing in the win against the Raiders.

The last thing Hurts needed was an injury to deal with after all the adversity and criticism he has faced this season. From reports about Eagles teammates being frustrated with his play to not be willing to run QB-designed runs, the Raiders games showcased him at his best as a passer and ran plenty of QB runs.

Philly now enters the final three games of the season, where all they need is one win to take the NFC East title and become the first repeat champions of the division in 20 years. The Eagles will have to get it done against the Washington Commanders twice, without Jayden Daniels, and the Buffalo Bills sandwiched in between the Commanders games.

Eagles fans hope Hurts isn't injured and that he can be the man to lead them the next three games and more heading into the postseason.
