Roster cutdowns are underway, and the Philadelphia Eagles are trying to figure out what to do with their 53-man roster.
They have some obvious choices to make, but some veterans and old draft picks will somehow stay on the team. The reality is they shouldn't, but Eagles fans will be stuck with them.
Four Eagles players fit that description to a T. Here are the four who don't deserve to be on the team but will make it anyway.
These Eagles should be cut, but they will most likely make the team
Kelee Ringo, CB
Ringo has been on this list for a while now, but this year has been more intense. Last year was supposed to be the year he finally put it all together and became the next CB2. He and Adoree' Jackson failed miserably at doing that.
Now that the preseason is done, the final evaluation is that Ringo actually got worse in coverage. Yes, he got an interception against the Baltimore Ravens, but that shouldn't be enough to save him a spot on the roster. He's a great special teams player, but the Eagles need more from him, so he should be gone, but the team likes the 6-foot-2 corner.
Mac McWilliams, CB
McWilliams is another example of a guy who really shouldn't be in this secondary, but he probably will be. He hasn't lived up to expectations since the team drafted him last year, and the preseason only made it worse.
The Eagles had McWilliams as one of their leading tacklers, and that's not a compliment to a cornerback. Practice squad might be a better spot for him, but McWilliams was picked apart during preseason game with every team throwing it on him. He needs to not be on this active roster.
Arnold Ebiketie, EDGE
Philly just signed Ebiketie during the offseason, but that's about it for all the Eagles fans have heard about him. He played well with the Atlanta Falcons over the last few seasons and that's good. It's just odd that nothing has been reported about how he has looked in camp.
The Eagles are so deep at edge rusher that if it wasn't for Jonathan Greenard's injury, Ebiketie might even be on the hot seat. He'll stay on the team, though, and might even play. It just feels like the Eagles don't really need him.
Hollywood Brown, WR
Let's be honest, Brown has not lived up to expectations. Four weeks into training camp and there were reports of Brown and Hurts not in-sync with each other and working after practice to fix it. This is kind of a problem that can't follow the Eagles into the 2026 season.

Guys like Darius Cooper and Elijah Moore outplayed Brown in training camp and preseason. Brown should be the odd man out at receiver, but they are too committed to him being the speedy deep threat, so he'll get a chance.
