It's becoming a normal week for the Philadelphia Eagles to have an insane number of injuries to deal with during the week.
Week 5 was no exception, as the Eagles absorbed a crushing 19-17 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in London. They also dealt with four new injuries that now create even more problems heading into their Week 6 game against the Carolina Panthers.
For all the updates on injuries during Week 6, here are the ones to monitor for the Eagles before the Panthers showdown.
Philadelphia Eagles Week 6 injury updates before Carolina Panthers game
Will Shipley, RB (Foot)
ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that Shipley tore his plantar fascia against the Jaguars. The foot injury is expected to keep him out for multiple weeks. There's no word on whether he will go on IR.
Jalyx Hunt, EDGE (Knee/Ankle)
Hunt suffered a very concerning knee and ankle injury on the final play of the first half during the Eagles' goal-line stand against the Jaguars' offense. He did not return to the game and was seen in a walking boot. No word on his timeline, but it doesn't sound good right now.
Michael Carter II, S (Abdominal)
Carter was pulled on the final defensive drive of the first half with an abdominal injury and didn't return. We'll have to wait and see what happens during Wednesday's practice. If he can't go, Kenny Moore II will replace him.
Tyler Steen, OG (Shoulder)
While Steen only missed one drive before returning from the shoulder injury in the Jaguars game, it is worth including on the list due to the recent string of injuries on the offensive line. The big question is whether this will affect him moving forward.
Drew Kendall, C (Knee)
Kendall missed the Jaguars game after injuring his knee against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 4. He didn't practice at all last week, so it'll be interesting to see if he gets on the field to work on Wednesday.
Landon Dickerson, LG (Knee)
Dickerson has been on IR since the start of Week 2 due to his knee injury, but his 21-day practice window could open this week, and he could be active. Whether that will actually happen is the big question after Willie Lampkin showed some promise at left guard in his NFL debut.
Eli Stowers, TE (Quadriceps and Hamstring)
Stowers remains on IR and is now in the second week of his 21-day practice window. The 2026 season could be a redshirt season for him, so his chances of playing still seem slim unless more injuries pop up.
DeVonta Smith, WR (Hamstring)
Smith has gone two weeks without playing due to his hamstring injury, and while he did some work at the end of last week, he didn't practice. Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said that he is "hopeful" Smith returns for Week 6.
Hollywood Brown, WR (Ankle)
Brown has also missed the last two games with his ankle injury. There has been no word on his timeline for returning.
Marcus Epps, S (Groin)
Epps hasn't played in the previous two games either because of his groin injury. It'll be interesting to see if he can return, with Carter's new injury and the team needing depth at safety.
Saquon Barkley, RB (Hamstring)
Barkley missed his first game as an Eagle against the Jaguars with a hamstring injury. He didn't practice at all last week, and the injury is being managed on a week-to-week basis. Sirianni said he is "hopeful" for Barkley's return.
Jonathan Greenard, EDGE (Ankle)
Greenard missed his third game of the season, but this was the first with the ankle. It appeared it was close, but after talking to team medical experts two hours before kickoff, they decide to rule him out. Returning for Week 6 seems to be in line for Greenard.

Tank Bigsby, RB (Knee)
Bigsby is going to be on IR for at least another three weeks after getting surgery on his knee. He injured it during the Rams game.
