Nick Sirianni informed us on Monday that Jordan Mailata will 'miss a few weeks'. That wasn't much of a shock. We all witnessed his need for assistance to exit the Philadelphia Eagles' Week 6 game vs. the Cleveland Browns this past Sunday.

Dallas Goedert and Darius Slay also exited that game before it ended. The former has a hamstring issue. The latter has some trouble with his knee.

Both sat out of the first Eagles practice on Wednesday. Neither is expected to play in the next regular-season game. Milton Williams also sat out of Wednesday's practice session. Here's the full injury report.

Wouldn't you know it? That's only half of the story. Philly has been busy in terms of roster transactions this week.

Eagles reacquire a familiar face and open a practice window for another.

The Birds are back to work and have placed a tough game versus what should have been an inferior opponent behind them. The New York Giants are the next speed bump in their journey, and it appears Saquon Barkley may be uninformed about the reception he'll receive during his return.

Philly has been busy. After promoting Parris Campbell to the 53-man roster. They had an open spot on their practice squad. They reacquired cornerback Parry Nickerson to fill it. That move was announced on Tuesday. They also announced, one day later, that they had opened a 21-day practice window for Albert Okweuegbunam. He's been on the team's injured reserve since August 27th.

Philly has until November 6th to elevate Okwuegbunam from the IR to the active roster. If they elect against doing so, he'll return to the IR for the remainder of this season.

Something tells us he'll be activated before Sunday's game and Nickerson will be one of Philly's pair of elevations from the practice squad for Week 7's game in New Jersey at MetLife Stadium.

Don't expect either to play. They won't unless there is an emergency as both will serve the primary role of providing insurance.
