The Philadelphia Eagles are entering another offseason marked by turmoil. From coaching turnover to player unrest, the drama surrounding this team never seems to let up. At this point, it feels like the only thing that can get the franchise back on track is another deep playoff run.

But general manager Howie Roseman has some work to do before the Eagles are ready to contend for championships again. This roster, talented as it is, has holes that need to be filled this offseason.

One of the Eagles' quieter needs is at the receiver position. Behind A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, Philly doesn't have much reliable depth. That could be solved with a low-risk free agency signing like former Oklahoma University star Marquise Brown.

Free agent Marquise Brown is the perfect solution to Eagles' WR need

Once upon a time, "Hollywood" Brown was one of the most exciting young players in football. In Oklahoma, he and Baker Mayfield combined to create an unstoppable passing attack. His explosive play in college made him a first-round draft pick in 2019, but he never quite lived up to expectations in the NFL. From his time with the Baltimore Ravens to his stint with the Arizona Cardinals, Brown showed flashes of the electrifying talent he was known for, but he couldn't solidify himself as a top wideout.

After a disappointing couple of seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, the 28-year-old is set to hit free agency. He may not receive much interest this offseason, but the Eagles should take a chance on him.

Philly's receiver room is covered with question marks. A.J. Brown will likely be back next season, but his future with the team still hangs in the balance. Even with him in the building, the Eagles lack a solid third receiver. "Hollywood" could be the perfect answer.

The former Sooner's speed would help open up passing lanes underneath for Jalen Hurts to find his top targets. He could add an explosive element to the offense that the Eagles were sorely missing at times in 2025. Adding Brown would allow the Eagles to focus on other positions of need in the draft.

According to Spotrac, Brown is set to earn about $5.5 million per year on his next contract. That's a low-risk deal that a receiver-needy team like the Eagles should absolutely take a chance on. It could be a key factor in fixing their offense.
