If Philadelphia Eagles fans thought they were done with Bryce Huff, they would be sorely mistaken.
Huff had a miserable one-year experience with the Eagles last season after signing a three-year deal during the 2024 offseason. He only had 13 tackles, three tackles for loss, four quarterback hits, 2.5 sacks, and one forced fumble in 12 games. A wrist injury kept him out of six games, and he only appeared in one postseason game.
The Eagles traded Huff in the offseason to the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for a conditional 2026 fifth-round pick. That pick could be moved up to a fourth-round pick under the condition that Huff makes eight sacks in the 2025 campaign, so how is Huff doing so far?
Not great.
Huff's strong start to the season has slowed down dramatically
It was a good start to the season for Huff, who had four sacks in the first six games with the 49ers, pacing well to hit the eight-sack goal Eagles fans need him to hit. Since then, not a lot to brag about: he has had eight quarterback hits but zero sacks in the last four contests with four games to go in the regular season.
The hopes of getting a better draft pick from the 49ers are already not looking so good for the Eagles. While some fans might not care whether it is a fourth- or fifth-round pick, this could matter if general manager Howie Roseman wants to make a trade in the offseason. There is at least a 32-pick difference between the fourth and fifth round picks.

Eagles fans can only hope Huff gets it rolling in the last four games of the season. Otherwise, it will be the final reminder of what a bust he truly was in Philly.
