The Miami Dolphins are signing a former Philadelphia Eagles first-round pick, according to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, whose time in Philly was less than optimal.
Wide receiver Jalen Reagor, who was the Eagles' infamous 2020 first-round draft pick at 21, is going into his eighth year in the NFL and is now joining his fifth franchise since coming out of TCU. Reagor was the selection before the Minnesota Vikings drafted All-Pro receiver Justin Jefferson.

Reagor joined the Eagles in 2020, spending two years with the team, appearing in 28 games while never amassing more than 396 receiving yards in a season. Back in 2022, Reagor was traded to the Vikings for a 2023 seventh-round pick and a 2024 conditional fifth-round pick in hopes of revitalizing his career. Reagor would record eight receptions for just over 100 yards, while mostly being utilized as a punt returner, before his release during final cuts prior to the 2023 season.
Since then, Reagor has been used sparingly from 2023 to 2024, mostly as a WR5 option, failing to amass more than seven receptions for the New England Patriots (2023-24) and the Los Angeles Chargers (2024-25). Last season, Reagor bounced back and forth on the Chargers' practice squad between his eventual release in late October. He also worked out with the Cleveland Browns in the offseason before they passed on him.
Now, in what may be a final chance at a career resurgence, Reagor will compete for another opportunity with the Dolphins, who are in the middle of a rebuild under new head coach Jeff Hafley and new general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan.
The Dolphins, who jettisoned many of their contributors from previous seasons, currently have 11 wide receivers on the roster (12 with Reagor) as OTAs begin. For Reagor, with the Dolphins being a relatively young team, he may be able to leverage his experience to find a home on Miami's roster or practice squad, with hopes of elevation during the regular season.

Reagor has earned nearly $16 million in his NFL career and is 27 years old heading into what could possibly be his final season in the league if he doesn't step up and make the Dolphins' roster.
