The regular season is upon us, and the Philadelphia Eagles have put together their first full depth chart of 2026.
Some big questions remained about how the Eagles would handle their most important position battles. Those questions didn't get answered right away.
With just a few days left until the Washington Commanders face the Eagles, there are still some questions about Philly's depth chart. Here's a look at the full depth chart.
Eagles' full depth chart analysis entering Week 1 Commanders game
QB - Jalen Hurts, Andy Dalton/Tanner McKee, Cole Payton
Nothing has been decided yet on whether Dalton or McKee will be QB2 for Hurts. This is now stretching out until the first game of the regular season, which is a major concern. The Eagles must figure this out so fans can move on, because it's becoming a bad look for the organization not to have it resolved.
RB - Saquon Barkley, Tank Bigsby, Will Shipley
One question is how much Bigsby will be featured in the Eagles' offense after being underutilized last season. The Eagles have the potential to have one of the best backfields in the NFL if Barkley and Bigsby get almost equal touches.
WR - DeVonta Smith, Hollywood Brown
Makai Lemon, Elijah Moore
Dontayvion Wicks, Darius Cooper
Philly is putting their faith in Lemon and going to let him start in the slot for the Eagles. They will need to decide how they are going to rotate all these talented receivers in the game, or if they are going to.
TE - Dallas Goedert, Johnny Mundt, Eli Stowers, E.J. Jenkins
Well, the Eagles won't quite redshirt Stowers this season, as he will be the third-string tight end, but it's been made clear that Mundt is the backup to Goedert. It'll be interesting to see how they use Jenkins in this offense, or whether he'll likely play more on special teams.
OL - (LT) Jordan Mailata, Markel Bell
(LG) Landon Dickerson, Willie Lampkin
(C) Cam Jurgens, Drew Kendall
(RG) Tyler Steen, Micah Morris
(RT) Lane Johnson, Fred Johnson
It appears they will let Bell learn behind Mailata this season before potentially taking over for Lane Johnson at right tackle next year. Fred Johnson will be the backup at right tackle for this season.
DT - Jalen Carter, Byron Young
Jordan Davis, Ty Robinson
Moro Ojomo
Nothing was ever really in question at defensive tackle. The interesting thing to watch is whether Young or Robinson gets rotated in with the starters, especially after Robinson had a breakout preseason with three sacks in three games.
EDGE - Jalyx Hunt/Jonathan Greenard, Arnold Ebiketie
Nolan Smith/Jonathan Greenard, A.J. Epenesa
Greenard's status is unknown right now, as no one knows whether the Eagles will play him. Once he is 100% healthy, the real question is whether Hunt or Smith starts off the edge for the Eagles. The two will most likely rotate equally in games, no matter what.
LB - Zack Baun, Smael Mondon
Jihaad Campbell, Jeremiah Trotter Jr.
No major surprises at linebacker. Trotter's role on defense should see an increase in 2026, so the question will be how much he actually plays for the Eagles.
CB - Quinyon Mitchell, Kelee Ringo
Riq Woolen, Jonathan Jones
(NCB) Cooper DeJean, Mac McWilliams
Depth is going to be a big question mark for the Eagles' corners after Ringo and McWilliams had rough preseasons. Jones missed most of camp with an injury, so there are still some concerns about him. The only other question is how much DeJean actually plays safety this season for Philly.
S - Marcus Epps, Michael Carter II
Andrew Mukuba
Everyone figured Mukuba and Epps would be the starters at safety, but Eagles fans finally got confirmation. There's still a strong chance Carter gets reps on the field at the position, though.
Special Teams - Jake Elliott (K), Braden Mann (P &H), Rocco Underwood (LS)
(KR) Will Shipley, Tank Bigsby
(PR) Makai Lemon, Elijah Moore

The punt returner position is interesting for the two slot receivers to handle. Eagles fans will be fascinated to see how Lemon handles it after muffing his only punt return in the preseason loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
