Giants All-Pro expected to miss the Eagles and Saquon Barkley's revenge game

One of the Giants stars isn't going to be on the field for Saquon Barkley's revenge game.

It's been a bad few days for left tackles in the NFC East. Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni informed media members that Jordan Mailata's hamstring injury will keep him out of action for a few weeks. The prognosis is even worse for a New York Giants All-Pro.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported shortly before 6 pm EST that Andrew Thomas was in Charlotte meeting with noted foot expert Dr. Robert Anderson. FOX Sports NFL Insider Jordan Schultz followed that report shortly afterward. Sources have told him that he "is 'most likely' out for the season and will require immediate surgery".

As much as we hate injuries, the job just got a little easier for the Eagles and Saquon Barkley.

Andrew Thomas once spent his game days protecting Daniel Jones' blind side and opening holes in the running game for Saquon Barkley. Together, they helped lead Big Blue to a playoff berth two seasons ago.

They also enjoyed postseason accolades together. Thomas was named a 2022 Second-Team All-Pro while Saquon was named to his second Pro Bowl roster. Our favorite part of their season that year was how it ended, with a blowout loss in Philly on January 21st, 2023 during the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs.

A former Giant, James Bradberry enjoyed some revenge. He intercepted a pass. A few moons later, it's Week 7 in the NFL, and the Eagles and another former Giant, Mr. Barkley, hope to enjoy their own revenge game.

The hated Giants crushed the Eagles in the regular-season finale last season this past January 7th by a 27-10 margin. You know what happened during the offseason. Saquon joined the Eagles.

He's no doubt circled Philly's next game on his calendar, a road date at MetLife Stadium vs. the G-Men. Something tells us he has thought about Philly's next regular-season finale as well. That one will also be played vs. New York in Week 18.

Andrew Thomas appears to be set to miss both contests. We had already predicted a sweep of the G-Men, but we're a little bummed out because we had rather see the Eagles beat them while they're at full strength
