The Philadelphia Eagles have been swamped with questions about wide receiver A.J. Brown and when they expect to see him traded, or even if he will.
After signing Marquise "Hollywood" Brown and Elijah Moore, as well as trading for Dontayvion Wicks, it has made a trade involving A.J. Brown inevitable. During a pre-draft press conference, Eagles general manager Howie Roseman responded to a question about Brown, and of course, Roseman stuck with the same answer he has been saying for the last year.
“What do you think the odds are that I’m answering this question any different than I answered it anywhere else? Like, really, do you think that’s 50 percent? Do you think it’s 75 percent? Brown’s an Eagle.”
Howie Roseman is sticking to his guns on A.J. Brown being an Eagle
With every vague answer that Roseman gives, it becomes clearer and clearer that Brown is out the door soon enough. Though it is a perfect response from a general manager who always keeps everyone in the dark while indirectly letting teams know what his feelings are.
The New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams were the hottest names to be linked to a Brown trade. As of right now, the Patriots appear to be the only ones in the conversation at the moment, as the Rams dropped out of the conversation. The Baltimore Ravens and Los Angeles Chargers were also calling about Brown at one point.
Most people expect the Eagles not to move Brown off the roster until June 2, so they don't take as much of a dead cap hit as if they did before June 1. The Eagles would also save $7 million against the cap if they wait on trading Brown, starting on June 2.

Brown is eventually going to get traded, but credit to Roseman for sticking to his guns on the answer fans pretty much expected.
