It wouldn't be a normal Philadelphia Eagles offseason if the fan base wasn't going crazy about general manager Howie Roseman fleecing the NFL with multiple moves.
Roseman made some great decisions, like passing on Jaelan Phillips and trading for Jonathan Greenard for $25 million cheaper, as well as replacing Adoree' Jackson at CB2 with Riq Woolen, but it was what he did on offense that should give fans a reason to believe, according to CBS Sports writer Bryan DeArdo.
"Howie Roseman showed why he's one of the best general managers in the business when he leapfrogged the Steelers (in a trade involving the rival Cowboys) to acquire wideout Makai Lemon, who will join a revamped receiving corps that also includes fellow offseason acquisitions Hollywood Brown, Dontayvion Wicks and Elijah Moore. Roseman also used the trade to give Jalen Hurts yet another new pass-catcher in former Vanderbilt tight end Eli Stowers. He also added much-needed depth to the offensive line by drafting former Miami tackle Markel Bell in the sixth round and former Georgia guard Micah Morris in the sixth round. While no one can predict the future, it appears that Roseman has done his part in terms of improving Jalen Hurts' situation in light of A.J. Brown's expected departure."
Howie Roseman retooled the offense to make the Eagles competitive again
Yes, the impending departure of A.J. Brown is going to hurt big time, but this offense still has all the tools to make a run for a Super Bowl again.
DeVonta Smith is ready to take over as the number one receiver on the team. Smith will have a much better supporting cast at receiver with rookie first-round pick Makai Lemon, Marquise "Hollywood" Brown, Dontayvion Wicks, and Elijah Moore to round out one of the strongest wide receiver rooms the Eagles have had in a long time.
Even the tight end room is in really good shape with Dallas Goedert and rookie second-round pick Eli Stowers the top guys there. The backups between Stone Smartt and Johnny Mundt give Philly really solid blocking tight ends.
Some wonder how the offensive line will respond after an up-and-down 2025 campaign, but there is still really good talent there. Lane Johnson and Jordan Mailata are arguably the best tackle duo in the NFL, with Landon Dickerson and Cam Jurgens going into the 2026 season much healthier.
Eagles fans can't sleep on the running game as Saquon Barkley is still among one of the top backs in the league and has Tank Bigsby behind him on the depth chart.

It helps that a new, bright, offensive-minded coach, Sean Mannion, is taking over the play-calling and is ready to use his three-time Pro Bowl quarterback, Jalen Hurts, to his full potential. This Eagles offense should already be much improved from last year.
