Well that's not happening.

After the June 1 deadline hit, the NFL has been swarmed with all kinds of trade rumors with the Philadelphia Eagles apparently being involved in every single one.

Of course, the Eagles made the massive move to trade wide receiver A.J. Brown to the New England Patriots for two draft picks, but Philly was also linked to Myles Garrett trade rumors until he was shipped from the Cleveland Browns to the Los Angeles Rams.

A new one has been brewing with the Arizona Cardinals potentially wanting to trade edge rusher Josh Sweat after he reportedly expressed his unhappiness with the team. While the Green Bay Packers and Eagles have been the two big names mentioned as interested, NFL insider Ian Rapoport quickly shut down those rumors.

"This has gained some steam on social media, so just to provide some clarity: #AZCardinals edge rusher Josh Sweat is not being traded. Not to the #Packers or anywhere. Carry on…"

Ian Rapoport says no trade for Josh Sweat to Eagles, Packers, or anyone

It's obviously an interesting storyline, since Sweat started his career with the Eagles and had a ton of success, earning a Pro Bowl selection and a Super Bowl title. By his final season with the Eagles, he led the team in sacks with eight before bringing the Lombardi Trophy home to Philly. Last offseason, he left for Arizona after signing a $76.5 million contract with the Cardinals.

Sweat is coming off the best statistical season of his career with 12 sacks, but once former Eagles defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon was fired as the head coach of the Cardinals, things started to spiral downward for Sweat and his time in Arizona. It appears, for the moment, though, that nothing will change.

Despite Rapoport's report, though, don't be surprised if Eagles general manager Howie Roseman at least keeps tabs on Sweat in the future.
