The Philadelphia Eagles have opened their doors to the media for the first time, giving the media one day to see OTAs in person and watch the players practice.

One thing the media will focus on is how the Eagles' offense looks as new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion gets settled into the job. Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni spoke with the media before practice, praising the work Mannion has done with the players in meetings so far.

“Sean’s done an awesome job thus far," Sirianni said via The Philly Special Show's Anthony DiBona. "Just the command that he has in the front of the room, and conviction that he has in the front of the room, and the knowledge that he has in the front of the room.”

Sean Mannion is making a good first impression on everyone in the Eagles facility

Mannion is in just his third year as a coach in the NFL after spending the first two with the Green Bay Packers. He was just an assistant coach in 2024 and was promoted to quarterbacks coach last year.

Now he is running a new offense for the Eagles, blending what worked for Philly in the past with new plays straight out of the Sean McVay/Kyle Shanahan playbook. The brand-new offense is going to spread defenses out and really open up the offense in ways Eagles fans have not seen before.

It's important for Mannion to get off to a fast start with the players and make a good first impression. Everyone knows his football IQ is high, but what about him as a leader? Can he handle working with the whole unit and calling the plays for the first time in his career?

The next few months will be about Mannion earning the respect of the Eagles' offense, which has many Super Bowl-winning veterans, so he has a lot of work to do. It at least sounds like he is heading in the right direction.
