It wouldn't be a normal day if the Philadelphia Eagles weren't being brought up as a candidate to trade for a superstar.

Eagles general manager Howie Roseman is well known for taking big swings for big-name players in trades; last year, Philly was linked to talks involving Myles Garrett and Micah Parsons, and this offseason, it has been Maxx Crosby. According to Sports Illustrated NFL insider Albert Breer, the Eagles might still be in the running for one of those players: Myles Garrett.

"I think the Eagles are somebody you always pay attention to," Breer said via 92.3 The Fan. "Dallas... there would be an appeal there. If you don't do it now, well, you risk in a year or two when maybe your team is really ready to win, getting a lot less for him."

Eagles are a team to watch to land Myles Garrett in a potential trade

Garrett is the best defensive player in the NFL right now after breaking the NFL record for sacks in a season last year with 23. He won Defensive Player of the Year after making the Pro Bowl for the seventh time and the All-Pro team for the fifth time.

The rumor was that last year, Roseman made an offer to the Browns to send three first-round picks for Garrett, but the Browns have been adamant that they don't want to trade him. Garrett has not had much communication with Cleveland this offseason, leading many to think a trade could be possible in the near future.

While a trade for Garrett is possible for the Eagles, it would require many tough financial decisions. The Eagles would not be able to keep some of their players who are due for big money, so guys like Nolan Smith, Saquon Barkley, Zack Baun, and maybe Jalen Hurts might be on the chopping block for the 2027 offseason.
