One thing the Philadelphia Eagles fan base knows so well about general manager Howie Roseman is that he can't resist a good deal when one comes his way.
Last year, Roseman was not afraid of executing any kind of trade with the Eagles. He added multiple players in the preseason, including Sam Howell, John Metchie, Jakorian Bennett, and Fred Johnson. Roseman was just as active during the regular season, adding Tank Bigsby, Jaelan Phillips, Jaire Alexander, and Michael Carter II.
That trend continued this offseason, with the team trading away Sydney Brown and A.J. Brown while adding Andy Dalton, Dontayvion Wicks, and Jonathan Greenard via trade. From the sound of things, Roseman is nowhere close to being done.
Howie Roseman might be in the market for more trades with Eagles
Roseman had a chance to sit down with Kay Adams of "Up & Adams" when she asked about him making trades anymore and what he has in store. The Eagles general manager wasn't shy about mentioning he's always interested in a trade.
"Well, I think that you're constantly looking, you're constantly looking to improve. We can't ask our players to do it, we can't ask our coaches to continue to do it, and not do it from a front office perspective. So, if opportunities come about that will make us better, we got to look at it. We owe that to our team, to our players, to our fans, to our owner. And there will be an opportunity at some point, whether it's looking at cuts, whether it's looking at trades. And that's fun. It's fun to do those and to have those calls. And so I would never answer the phone if you— that's not cool. But whatever, whatever we have now, something's going to change. And in all our best teams, there have been some opportunities to acquire players, whether it's in June, whether it's in August, whether it's at the trade deadline. And so we'll keep looking for those opportunities, and if they come about, it's no reflection on what we feel about the other guys here. It's just trying to improve."
Some wonder if Roseman has another trade or two under his belt before the season starts. Fans would like to know whether he wants to add someone and where he would like to make it happen.
Early in training camp, reporters were calling for Roseman to make a trade for another playmaker on offense. The Eagles' offense has since been playing well, to the point that another playmaker isn't needed at the moment.
Philly's safety position got a lot of attention in the offseason, including whether Roseman would look outside for Reed Blankenship's replacement. Marcus Epps and Michael Carter II are having strong enough camps that the Eagles could gut it out with one of them as the starter.

Roseman has some big decisions on his plate over the next four weeks to see what he can do before the season starts. No matter which direction he takes, it'll instantly help the Eagles either in the starting lineup or on the bench.
