While going 11-6, winning the division, and making the playoffs is a successful season for most teams. Not the Philadelphia Eagles.
Coming off a Super Bowl victory, the Eagles had a lot of issues throughout the season, from the offense never finding its footing to the team struggling in the second half of games. Even when they were winning, it felt like losses for Philly as it all ended in the City of Brotherly Love in front of the home crowd at the Linc against the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Wild Card, with the city drama-filled since then.
During the Eagles' end-of-year press conference, general manager Howie Roseman and head coach Nick Sirianni spoke with the media for the last time before departing for the offseason. Sirianni was honest about the team's mindset heading into the 2026 season.
"We have a win-now mode, and we have a win-now team with all the great players we have, so everything can be thought about: how do we win the 2026 season?"
Is the heat starting to turn up on Nick Sirianni in Philadelphia?
There are a lot of eyes and plenty more questions about Sirianni after his failed attempt, once again, at promoting an assistant coach to be offensive coordinator. Kevin Patullo was removed as offensive coordinator after one season, during which the unit finished in the bottom 15 in all major offensive categories.
Initial reports indicate the Eagles are looking for an offensive coordinator with experience who will have full control of the unit, with no interference from Sirianni. With Sirianni being more of an offensive coach and Vic Fangio already handling the defense, many wonder what Sirianni does in Philly?
Roseman defended Sirianni during the press conference, going on a long rant about everything the head coach does well. The Eagles' general manager might try to convince fans of what Sirianni does, but it still leaves major questions unanswered.
Philly might face a situation where, if a talented roster like this continues to fail the way it has, there could be questions about Sirianni's future. The head certainly sounds like he knows the heat is about to get turned up from low to medium during 2026.

This is nothing new for Sirianni, as he went through it during the 2024 offseason as well, and the Eagles ended up winning it all. It does feel as though this offseason is different for him, and the organization's patience might be wearing thin, so something has to give soon enough.
