Well, that certainly was not a long stay for him, as the Philadelphia Eagles made quick work of that.
Last week, the Eagles signed wide receiver Brandon Hayes to add another body in the room in anticipation of A.J. Brown being traded. Hayes's time has already come to an end as he was released by the team to make room to sign defensive lineman Zion Wilson.
At rookie minicamp, Hayes participated in hopes of making the roster. Wilson was added after being unable to play the 2026 college season.
Eagles move on from Brandon Hayes and make Zion Wilson signing official
The reality is the Eagles' wide receiver room is so deep that it didn't make sense for Hayes to stay on the roster even if he was replacing Brown's spot. With how many good players are at the position, Hayes did not have much of a chance to make the team.
Wilson actually has a better shot at making it, but is more likely to be a practice squad member, depending on how training camp goes. Experts saw Wilson as a potential draft pick next year, but with him being ruled ineligible by the NCAA, the Eagles are going to take a chance on him and help develop him.
Next for the Eagles is mandatory OTAs, and then they will be off for the next month before training camp gets underway. Philly doesn't really have any holes to fill on the roster, aside from concerns at safety, which they may not address until training camp or the regular season to give Marcus Epps and Andrew Mukuba a chance to prove themselves.

Knowing how Eagles general manager Howie Roseman works, though, there are going to be many more roster moves coming soon enough.
