While this year's version of HBO's Hard Knocks following the NFC East has not been as hard-hitting as it has been in the past, there is one part of the latest episode that caught Philadelphia Eagles fans' attention.
After the end-of-year meeting for the Eagles, following the disappointing 23-19 NFC Wild Card game loss to the San Francisco 49ers, quarterback Jalen Hurts and head coach Nick Sirianni were alone in the room. Hurts then brought up the comment that Eagles fans really needed to hear in a time like this.
"We'll be back," Hurts said via The Philadelphia Inquirer's Jeff McLane.
"I have no doubt," Sirianni responded.
Jalen Hurts and Nick Sirianni are ready to make a comeback with the Eagles
Eagles fans know everything that has happened since that meeting, as the news broke before the episode aired that Kevin Patullo was fired as the offensive coordinator. While there is a chance he could stay on the staff in Philly, he will not be running the offense.
The Eagles finished the season with an 11-6 record and won the NFC East, but the failure to get past the Wild Card is what makes this season a massive disappointment. Most of the same talent was back in place to make another Super Bowl run. It just didn't work out for the Eagles.
There is a lot to decide during the offseason for the Eagles, as they have to make some moves. One is finding the right offensive coordinator for the team, but some big free agent decisions are coming.
On defense, it's Jaelan Phillips, Reed Blankenship, and Nakobe Dean who are the big names. For the offense, all the focus is on wide receiver A.J. Brown and whether he is still a key piece of the franchise's future or should move on from the drama he brings.

What Eagles fans know is that Sirianni and Hurts will have all the pressure to step up and get this franchise back on track, or more changes could be made involving them in the near future.
