The Philadelphia Eagles' offensive line has certainly gone through their rough patches from injuries to continuity issues all season.
That isn't something that Eagles offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo is too particularly worried about when it comes to one player on the team. Patullo gave praise to center Cam Jurgens for the way he has played of late.
"Yeah, Cam’s done a great job," Patullo said via Eagles Wire's Geoffrey Knox. "I think just he feels better about where he’s at, obviously. Just taking the whole offensive line underneath him and understanding that it goes through him. He sets the table and they all feed off him. He’s done a really, really, really good job. He’s definitely a leader out there and all those guys are. I think when you look at the communication and the work ethic between him and [T] Jordan [Mailata] and all those guys, they’re all in it together. That’s what’s unique about them and I think they feed off each other. That’s kind of where you watch [T] Fred [Johnson] too. They all feed off each other out there and so they’re doing a really nice job right now."
Patullo backs his center with good play from Jurgens
While many Eagles fans wouldn't necessarily agree that it has been a great season by Jurgens, by all intents and purposes, it hasn't been a horrible season either. One of the most significant issues with Jurgens is his injury, as he missed two games this season while Brett Toth filled in for him.
When he has played, he's looked like a guy who isn't exactly 100% healthy. To his credit, according to Pro Football Focus, Jurgens hasn't allowed a quarterback hit or sack all season. What he has not excelled at is being called for five penalties and allowing 10 quarterback pressures during the season.
Jason Kelce has spoiled Eagles fans, so sometimes Jurgens can be graded too harshly compared to one of the best centers in NFL history. Jurgens has been playing better of late and improving in pass protection and getting Saquon Barkley going in the running game.

Patullo might be right about praising Jurgens for his play lately and helping the offense navigate the challenging times of the 2025 season. Jurgens has a chance, though, to right the wrongs of the beginning of the season by helping this team make a run for another Super Bowl and top what his mentor couldn't do: win two titles.
