This free agency period has been about as quiet as the Philadelphia Eagles have been in a long time.

Outside of the signing of cornerback Riq Woolen, the Eagles have made signings here and there, but nothing that would excite the fan base. The Eagles still have time to add some pieces, but it certainly feels as though they have shifted their focus to the 2026 NFL Draft.

Going into the draft, the Eagles will have four picks in the first three rounds, which is good for them. FanSided's Cody Williams shared who he thinks Philly will take in his latest mock draft, starting with Clemson edge rusher T.J. Parker with the 23rd overall pick.

"Oh, so you're telling me there's a player who was phenomenal in 2024 and was projected as a potential Top 10 pick, but then had a weird final college season at Clemson, which has now depressed his draft stock? Welcome to the Eagles, of course! Parker is a terrific player with good burst, particularly for his size, and a truly dominant college season to his credit. The Eagles need to replenish their edge depth, and Parker could be the next star they luck into via the draft."

Eagles going edge rusher in first round of mock draft

Parker has had a solid college career in three years with the Tigers, totaling 21.5 sacks and 41.5 tackles for loss. After losing Jaelan Phillips, the Eagles would be able to find their long-term solution for him and develop Parker into the next great Eagles edge rusher.

Here are the other three selections in the second and third rounds that Williams likes Philly to take in the NFL Draft:

Round 2, Pick 54: Keionte Scott, CB, Miami (FL)
Round 3, Pick 68: Josiah Trotter, LB, Missouri
Round 3, Pick 98: Sam Roush, TE, Stanford

Scott is a shutdown corner who can create turnovers on a dime, but also is a solid backup option in case Woolen doesn't work out as the CB2. Trotter would be just the perfect story with his brother, Jeremiah Trotter Jr., on the current Eagles roster and his father, Jeremiah Trotter Sr., having played there in the past, so it should just happen; plus, he can replace Nakobe Dean, who went to the Las Vegas Raiders in free agency. With Dallas Goedert looking like too expensive an option, Roush would be perfect to step in and start right away as a lengthy playmaker at tight end.

This draft might be the most important one in Eagles general manager Howie Roseman's career, as it could end the Super Bowl window they have.
