The most talked-about Philadelphia Eagles topic at the NFL Combine was what will happen with star wide receiver A.J. Brown and whether he will be traded.
Those noises have grown louder over the week, with the New England Patriots among the teams interested in Brown's services. It also saw Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni and general manager Howie Roseman having to answer questions about Brown throughout.
Roseman is reportedly telling teams he wants a first- and second-round pick for Brown, which aligns with the Eagles' messaging that they don't want to just give him away. That might not be the only type of trade package that could get a deal done for the Eagles.
Latest report shares what the Eagles could get for Brown
ESPN NFL reporters Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano shared everything they heard at the NFL Combine about the Eagles and Brown trade situation. Fowler was first up, sharing what the teams' expectations are and what kind of trade package could convince Philly to agree to a trade with Brown.
"Interest in A.J. Brown has picked up here late in the week. A few teams I consulted believe a trade package including a second-round pick is his true trade value. Would that be enough to lure him from Philadelphia? I'm not sure that gets it done for Eagles GM Howie Roseman. But the buzz around Brown isn't dissipating. Multiple league executives have maintained that Philly will entertain moving him. New England feels like a logical destination.
During the Eagles' offensive coordinator search, some candidates got the impression that Brown was part of the plan. That's why some around the league believe Roseman could target a veteran receiver as part of any trade package -- say, if New Orleans can't reach a deal with Chris Olave in New Orleans, or if Denver wants to entertain a Brown-Courtland Sutton swap."
Roseman wants to make sure if Brown is traded that the offense won't miss a beat. This is a guy who has gone for over 1,000 yards receiving in each of his four seasons with the Eagles, the first wide receiver to ever do that for the franchise.
Graziano added more to the Brown-Eagles trade rumors as he was being told that Philly is not making it easy on teams to strike a deal.
"Teams have contacted the Eagles about a potential Brown trade, but word is that Philly's asking price remains too high. This lines up with what I heard about the Eagles' stance: They'd be open to the right offer, but it would have to be a really good one. They don't want to just get rid of Brown or need him off the team for any chemistry reasons.
The Eagles will always listen to trade offers, but if they're going to move Brown, it sounds like they'd have to be blown away. If you're not ready to talk about at least your first-round pick, I don't think that conversation is getting very far at the moment."

It has always been expected that the Eagles won't just give Brown away because he's unhappy, because they'd lose $20 million against the cap if they trade him before June 1. If teams want him that badly, Roseman is going to challenge teams to give him the best deal they can offer.
