As the new Philadelphia Eagles players come into the city, they have to make some big decisions about how they will look in 2026.

Eagles wide receiver Marquise "Hollywood" Brown is one of those players after signing a one-year contract with the team. Throughout his NFL career, Brown has worn the number five on his jersey.

With a new home comes a new number for Brown to hear. On social media, Brown shared that he will now wear the number zero for the Eagles when he takes the field at minicamp in a few months.

Marquise Brown to wear number zero with the Eagles

Brown has built quite a career in the NFL, having played for the Baltimore Ravens, Arizona Cardinals, and Kansas City Chiefs. His best season came in 2021 with the Ravens, when he went for 1,008 yards and six touchdowns, the only time in his career he surpassed 1,000 yards.

At least Brown is in good company with offensive players who have worn the number zero in recent years. In 2023, former Eagle and current Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift rushed for 1,049 yards and five touchdowns in Philly, the first time in his NFL career to rush for over 1,000 yards in a season, until he did it again last year for the Bears.

Eagles fans just hope it goes better than the last two years, when players wore the number zero, as both were on defense. Those guys were Bryce Huff and Joshua Uche, who combined for just 3.5 sacks in the last two years between them in that jersey number in Philly. To give Uche credit, he was good at rushing the passer, but struggled to produce sacks.

Philly is getting a great weapon in Brown, as Eagles fans are looking forward to seeing defenders see that jersey number zero in front of them when he has burned them on a deep touchdown.
