There isn't a lot of certainty when it comes to the Philadelphia Eagles' offseason this year, but there might be some clear signs that current free agents aren't coming back.

One that has puzzled Eagles fans is tight end Dallas Goedert, after general manager Howie Roseman left the door open for his potential return at the NFL Combine. NBC Sports NFL fantasy expert Matthew Berry told a different tale in his article about what he heard while at the combine, and it's not good news for Goedert.

"While many of the Eagles headlines these days are about whether A.J. Brown will stay or go, one player I’m told that will definitely be moving on from Philly this offseason is Dallas Goedert."

It doesn't sound like Dallas Goedert will be back with Eagles

Goedert is coming off a season in which, while he broke the franchise record for tight ends with 11, it didn't feel like a great one. He caught 60 passes for 591 yards, averaging a career-low 9.8 yards per reception.

Sure, Goedert was solid in the red zone when they needed him to catch a pitch pass from the Tush Push formation, but that was all it really felt like for him. He caught a bunch of short passes and never really made a huge impact in the passing game like A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith did for Philly.

The Eagles asked Goedert to take a pay cut from $14 million to $10 million last offseason to keep him on the roster, and he did, which was great for him. This offseason, he might be looking at more in the range of $6-8 million per year with his new contract.

Philly would most likely move on as they are rebuilding the tight end room with Goedert, Grant Calcaterra, and Kylen Granson all free agents. Many experts believe the Eagles will draft a tight end in the NFL Draft, with potential first-round picks including Oregon's Kenyon Sadiq and Vanderbilt's Eli Stowers on Day 2.

There is a chance they look in free agency for a tight end as well to add a veteran to the picture. They could reunite with Zach Ertz on the team or go with another option like Isaiah Likely, David Njoku, or John FitzPatrick.

The options are out there, but the Eagles appear ready to move on from Goedert after a nice career with the franchise.
