This past week has been very quiet around the NFL, but the Denver Browns and Miami Dolphins made some massive noise that actually affects the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Broncos traded their first-round, third-round, and fourth-round picks to the Dolphins in exchange for Miami's fourth-round pick and wide receiver Jaylen Waddle. After the news broke, The Athletic's Dianna Russini shared an update on how the Broncos viewed potentially trading for Eagles star wide receiver A.J. Brown before working out a deal with Miami.
"Despite speculation, I’m told the Denver Broncos never showed interest in trading for A.J. Brown. They always had their eye on Jaylen Waddle."
Broncos were never in the running for A.J. Brown
There has been a lot of speculation about the Eagles trading A.J. Brown, when it will happen, and with whom. Denver was mentioned very little, as it has always been the New England Patriots, the Los Angeles Rams, and the Los Angeles Chargers.
From the last update about Brown, the Eagles were planning on holding off on trading him for the time being. While nothing has been confirmed, it does appear as though Philly is going to wait until June 1 to actually get something done so that they can take less of a hit on the dead cap for Brown. Plus, the Eagles will save $7 million against the cap if they wait until that date to execute the trade.
Eagles fans at this point are just ready for all this talk about Brown to end, but the smart financial move is to wait it out. It's just going to get annoying that every receiver news is going to have Russini or someone else chiming in on how this affects a Brown trade.

Nothing is happening right now, so everyone just needs to move on and come back to it on June 1.
