Oh please don't let that happen.

There have certainly been some wild mock drafts that have been released over the last few months, but this one takes the cake in the absolute worst way for the Philadelphia Eagles.

A new mock draft by Bleacher Report's Brent Sobleski featured a very interesting early first-round trade. While the Eagles were able to nab UCF edge rusher Malachi Lawrence with the 23rd overall pick, their NFC East rivals, the Dallas Cowboys, made their mark with a massive trade.

The Cowboys would move up to the number three pick thanks to a trade with the Arizona Cardinals, with Dallas giving up both of their 2026 first-round picks in the process. That would lead to the Cowboys selecting Texas Tech edge rusher David Bailey with the third overall pick of the draft.

Eagles don't want to see Cowboys make massive trade in mock draft

Last year, the Cowboys did the Eagles a massive favor by trading their generational edge rusher Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers. Since then, the Cowboys have been focused on getting that position right, and Bailey would certainly help.

A move like that could put more pressure on the Eagles to make sure their offensive line is in a good spot. Bleacher Report believes the Eagles would go edge rusher in the first round, but there is a stronger chance that Philly would prefer an offensive tackle with the 23rd overall pick.

Eagles general manager Howie Roseman is better known for going after players up front and building the roster through the trenches before addressing other positions. After Lane Johnson and Landon Dickerson's retirement scares, the Eagles are committed to having the future of the offensive line solidified as quickly as possible.

Every Eagles fan would hate Dallas making that kind of move for an elite edge rusher, but one thing about Roseman: he always has something up his sleeve in the draft.
