A few weeks after A.J. Brown was traded away to the New England Patriots, the Philadelphia Eagles might be officially moving on from him, with some subtle moves being made behind the scenes.
Obviously, there's been a lot of new wide receivers being added to the roster since Brown got traded, so that they can have plenty of options. Something else is happening, though, that someone might have caught on to.
X user Eagles Ed noticed something interesting when looking at customized jerseys on the NFL Shop online. Apparently, linebacker Jihaad Campbell, who has worn number 30 to start his NFL career, might be switching to Brown's old number 11, as a drop-down in the customized jersey page has Campbell as number 11.
Is Jihaad Campbell taking A.J. Brown's old number in Philly?
It would make sense as Campbell wore the number 11 back in his college days at Alabama. He could be looking at doing it again since Brown is obviously no longer with the franchise.
The Eagles have seen many jersey number changes in the offseason as everyone is trying to get the numbers they want. Eagles running back Tank Bigsby moved to number eight after being 37 last year, and safety Marcus Epps went to 29 after being 39 in 2026.
Eagles wouldn't mind Campbell taking over that number and wearing it at least for the next three to four years in Philly, as he will be here for a long time. Plus, he has shown his commitment to the franchise, unlike Brown's constant complaints over the last two years.

It helps that Campbell looks like he could be a solid starter for the franchise. This might be just another example of how the Eagles are officially moving on from Brown and focused on the 2026 season.
