NFC East rival said what no one has the guts to say about Eagles fans

Whoa! Quite the compliment.

One thing that is notoriously known around the NFL is how much everyone hates the Philadelphia Eagles, but they all misinterpret the fan base as hostile when it really should be passionate.

More recently, Eagles fans have received respect after winning the FanSided Fandom of the Year award for their passion for the team. At least one person agrees that the Eagles fan base is great: Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels.

“I love Eagles fans," Daniels told Sports Illustrated. "They embody what Philly is. They bring it.”

Daniels praised the Eagles fans for their love of the team. The Commanders' star quarterback added that playing in Philly is like playing in some of the environments he faced in college.

Eagles fans are always known for throwing batteries on the field and throwing snowballs at Santa Claus. They are more than just those moments, as they are one of the few fan bases that are not shy about holding the team accountable and to a higher standard, even when they win games.

If anyone understands the Eagles and their fans well, it's Daniels, who played in Philly twice during his rookie year but missed both games in 2025 due to injury. Daniels and the Commanders lost both games at Lincoln Financial Field in 2024, including the NFC Championship game.

Daniels isn't the first player in the NFL over the last few months who has praised the Eagles' fan base. Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby also gave his flowers to them after losing to Philly 31-0 last season.

Eagles fans are a different breed, and they're okay with that because they are the ones doing it right with the team, unlike the other 31 fan bases in the NFL.
