As the Philadelphia Eagles begin mandatory OTAs, ESPN's Dan Graziano broke down each question an NFL team has at its quarterback position.

Despite the improvements and changes made by the Eagles, plenty of questions remain for Philadelphia, especially with the hire of Sean Mannion and his work with franchise quarterback Jalen Hurts. Despite Hurts' past success, the Eagles may begin to wonder about his long-term future not only in Mannion's system but in Philadelphia as a whole, with Graziano asking, "Is Jalen Hurts' future in Philly on the line this season?"

"Hurts is a willing pupil, and he's working diligently to learn and master the Sean Mannion offense this offseason. His career has been defined by his willingness and ability to make himself a better player in specific ways the organization has asked of him. Some years, the new offense in Philly works great. Other years, it does not. Which will this be? And if it's the latter, what does that mean for Hurts' future with the Eagles?"

Jalen Hurts might be facing a career-defining season in 2026

History shows the Eagles aren't afraid to move on from quarterbacks who have signed lucrative extensions. Hurts, who earned his starting job from Carson Wentz in 2020, became the latest Eagle to surpass his predecessor dating back to Donovan McNabb and Michael Vick.

Hurts, who recently won Super Bowl MVP just 16 months ago, is now about to learn a new offensive system under another offensive coordinator, along with the Eagles trading his most skilled wide receiver, A.J. Brown. He'll go into the season dealing with more change, less continuity, and high expectations once again.

Hurts has three years left on his contract and is guaranteed $22 million in 2027. While there have been rumors and rumblings of Hurts' responsibility for the offensive struggles last season, if the Eagles have a similar season this fall, critics will continue to point to Hurts as the common denominator for Philadelphia's shortcomings.

Early reports indicate that Hurts and Mannion are working diligently together to improve on last season's performance. While there have been improvements, questions will remain until the Eagles take the field. Some years, Hurts and the Eagles have the offense operating at a high level; other years mirror 2025.

If 2026 is a repeat of last season, then Hurts might be a part of a new wave of changes inbound for 2027.
