He's right you know...

This whole 2026 campaign has been unfamiliar territory for the Philadelphia Eagles, as they are on track for one of the worst seasons in the last two decades.

Philly is currently 2-6 and on a long six-game losing streak that hasn't happened in over a decade. Injuries have plagued this team, but in the past, they've worked through them. That hasn't been the case this year, as depth has been a concern, leading to a team that just can't fight through the issues.

From an outsider's perspective, other problems may exist as well, but the Eagles' recent comments on those have started to catch the general public's attention. A franchise legend, Nick Foles, is more worried than others might think.

Nick Foles has some stern comments regarding recent comments from the Eagles

Former Eagles players like Foles, Brandon Graham, Jason Avant, Vinny Curry, and others have spoken up more about the team this season because they're all in the media. Each has been more criticized, with a big topic being the team's culture.

From Jalen Carter saying he doesn't care what fans say after the Dallas Cowboys' Week 7 loss to Sirianni firing back a bit on Foles' culture-concern comments, saying "he's not in the building," it appears the Eagles are hearing more about what everyone has to say on the outside. That prompted an interesting response from Foles when he appeared on Graham's "BG Unblocked" podcast.

“BG and I’ve said things. The fact that we are ruffling feathers on people that are at the top bothers me a little bit. It bothers me. The fact that they’re getting emotional based on what we say— block it out. We’re talking to the fans. The fact that you’re getting frustrated about what Brandon Graham and Nick Foles are saying— we care so much about the Eagles. We’re not like, ‘Oh, we’re going to talk bad about the Eagles.’

BG and I want to talk really good about the Eagles. Jason Avant wants to talk really good about the Eagles. But when we go put on the tape and we dissect the tape, there’s too many things on the tape that we have to share from our insights and hoping that improves. So that’s sort of where I’m at, BG. I know that was long-winded, but I’m emotional about it.

I think it’s like the fact that they’re getting frustrated is a problem in there, and they need to block us out, and they just need to focus on doing what they do. Because if they do that, they can turn this thing around. I always believe that.”

Nick Foles is right about what the Eagles need to do

In a season like that, it is more important than ever to block out any noise that's on the outside and try to keep the focus on the team. Nothing can get in the way of trying to make some kind of progress with this franchise.

This season feels very different from last year, and there seems to be something off with this team. That's really odd because they had A.J. Brown in the locker room, and he was a cancer in the locker room with the comments he would make when talking to reporters.

Now, players like Jalyx Hunt have said publicly that he feels the locker room is in better shape this year than last season. Maybe there is some truth to it, but still, it does feel as though there might be some lies detected there.

The more the Eagles have gone through the season, the more cracks there are within the team. That would be understandable after losing six straight games and being on the verge of missing the playoffs for the first time since 2020.

This falls on Sirianni to help his team do that and make sure everyone is on the same page with it because the Eagles can't continue down this path. If a culture guy like Sirianni can't figure this out, then there have to be some questions about whether he is the right man for the head coach job.

How the Eagles finish the last nine games is going to speak volumes about the future of the franchise. Everyone in the locker room needs to figure out how to fix themselves without fans and the media getting in the way. If they don't, this could end up being the worst season this team has ever had.
