There aren't many people outside of Philadelphia who are big fans of Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni.

Many found Sirianni to be outspoken and loud on the field, but to Eagles fans, he's just expressing himself. He's a competitor and wants to win at any cost and will take risks to not only beat a team, but beat them by a lot.

Before the holiday break, Eagles running back Saquon Barkley said he hated Sirianni's guts when he was with the New York Giants, but has since grown to love and respect him. With everyone back from Christmas, Sirianni had a chance to respond to Barkley and share his thoughts.

“If I think back on my past, any teams that are rivals usually, I don't know – for whatever reason, they don't usually like me," Sirianni said via Jeff Skversky. "I'm glad he's on our team, and I'm glad we have the relationship that we do.”

It's worked out pretty well between Barkley and Sirianni so far

Barkley had the best season of his career when he rushed for over 2,000 yards last season with the Eagles and helped the team win the Super Bowl. While this season has been rough on him, Barkley has bounced back in the previous few weeks and was able to capture his second straight 1,000-yard season with the Eagles.

Sirianni has always had the love and respect of his players since he took over as the head coach in 2021. The Eagles have had winning seasons each year and made the playoffs every year since Sirianni became head coach.

In five seasons, Sirianni is 58-25 overall in the regular season, winning 69.9% of his games and winning the NFC East division title three times in that span. Sirianni has gone 6-3 in the postseason, appearing in the Super Bowl twice and winning one in 2024.

This Eagles team has benefited from having one of the NFL's best head coaches in its first five years. While he frustrates fans with his decision-making in critical moments of the game, similar to Jalen Hurts, Sirianni is a winner.
