During the offseason, there are limitations on what coaches and players can do in the NFL before everyone comes together for minicamp, but with some wiggle room, Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni is making sure to spend some time with his star quarterback, Jalen Hurts.

While speaking with reporters at the NFL's league meetings, Sirianni said he has had conversations with Hurts at various points in the offseason. Those topics they talk about seem less about work and more personal.

"I think it's really important that these guys get some time away from us. The conversations I've had with Jalen since the end of the season are more just checking in and see how everything's going, and there'll be a time and place to talk about that," Sirianni said via The Athletic's Zach Berman. "Because right now we're limited (by league rules) in what we can talk to them about and everything like that, but I think it's really important that they get some time."

The question from the media stemmed from whether Sirianni and Hurts had discussed some of the big changes to the teams since the offseason began. Those big changes, including the offensive coaching staff getting made over, were led by offensive coordinator Sean Mannion.

That also includes new members on the roster, with the Eagles losing wide receiver Jahan Dotson and gaining Marquise "Hollywood" Brown and Elijah Moore. Nothing was brought up about whether Sirianni had talked to Hurts about any potential A.J. Brown trade, but there would be serious doubt about that.

Hurts has already been a fan of the move to bring in Mannion as the offensive coordinator, though, as he publicly voiced his support for his new coach. That's a good sign that the franchise quarterback is at least looking forward to the changes that are coming to the offense in 2026.

Eagles fans won't know if the changes to the offense will work out until September, but for now, it appears that Sirianni and Hurts are on the same page, like they have been since 2021.
