There wasn't a guy in U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, who was happier to see the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Vikings 28-22 than quarterback Jalen Hurts.
It was singlehandedly the best passing performance Hurts has ever had in a single game. He completed 19 of 23 passes for 326 yards and three touchdowns. That's a completion percentage of over 80% and a perfect passer rating of 158.3, the third Eagles signal caller ever to do that, joining Nick Foles and Donovan McNabb.
After the game, Hurts got the attention of the media when he was caught celebrating with tight end Dallas Goedert in the tunnel of the stadium, entering the locker room. The star quarterback was heard shouting out, "We ain't f---ing losers anymore."
That's as poetic as it gets for Philadelphia.
Hurts' head coach responds to the emotions of his quarterback
After making their return to Philadelphia, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni spoke with the media and was asked about Hurts' emotional moment in the tunnel. Sirianni tells fans what they already know about their former Super Bowl MVP.
”Hyper-competitive guy," Sirianni said via NBC's John Clark. "You love that. Wants to win. A lot of people want to win, but are they willing to do the things that winning requires? I think that's what you get with Jalen. He wants to win in the worst way, and he is willing to do anything and everything that winning requires. The easiest way to sum that up is that he wants to win in the worst way and will do everything that winning requires, which is a lot throughout the week.”
Eagles left tackle Jordan Mailata and wide receiver DeVonta Smith shared with the media after the game that Hurts had a "look" to him in the second half that signaled he was going to make sure they won. It's a look Eagles fans have been accustomed to seeing since the franchise drafted him in 2020.
After a two-game losing streak, Hurts was determined to get his team a much-needed win. He did what he had done over 69% of the time in his career and won.

Now the Birds are focused on a little revenge on the New York Giants, who beat them just two weeks ago. Hurts will make sure that doesn't happen again.
