Nobody in Philadelphia has taken as bad a beating from the media and the fan base as Eagles offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo has in 2025.
Patullo has taken a ton of criticism for abandoning the running game throughout the season and seemingly losing the true identity of the offense. That all changed in Week 8 against the New York Giants with a dominating performance in their 38-20 win.
Jalen Hurts completed 75% of his passes for 179 yards passing. Hurts threw four touchdowns in the game, the most touchdowns he has thrown for all season.
Running back Saquon Barkley finally got his breakout game with 150 yards on the ground and scored two total touchdowns. The surprise of the game was running back Tank Bigsby, who rushed for 104 yards on nine carries in the win.
The Eagles finished with 427 total yards of offense, averaging 7.5 yards a play. They rushed for a season-high 276 yards and averaged 8.4 yards per carry in the win.
What Nick Sirianni had to say about Patullo after the game
After a chance to decompress from the impressive win of the Eagles, Sirianni was asked by the media to talk about Patullo and being able to block out all the noise of the negativity. The Eagles' head coach wanted to focus on the team as a whole but praised his friend.
"I think in football, it's always us. All of us. I know they love Kevin, but it's always all of us. I think Kevin is really mentally tough. You have to be in this game. Regardless of anything, you have to be mentally tough in this game. It's a long season. There's ups and downs. There's weekly stories. All those different things and what I think Kevin's done a really good job of is being able to block out anything that could be a distraction for him and working like crazy to put himself in the best to call the best game that he can each week regardless of what's going on. So, I got a lot of respect for Kevin in that aspect."

This was the best overall performance by the Eagles' offense all season as they dominated from start to finish. Patullo deserves a ton of credit for putting the game plan together perfectly and changing it up. For at least today, the offensive coordinator should get praised by everyone for a job well done.
