Could Philly get them here?

What a stunner it was for Philadelphia Eagles fans to see Sean Mannion's name in front of "new offensive coordinator."

Even with just two years of coaching experience, the Eagles feel as though they might have the next great offensive mind that could run the unit well. That remains to be seen as fans won't find out until the kickoff to the 2026 season.

Until then, the Eagles now have to shift the focus to building the roster to get back to the Super Bowl. Mannion might have four names in mind that would make sense for Philly to target in free agency that he saw every day in the Green Bay Packers facility.

John FitzPatrick, TE

The Eagles are not going to have many tight ends on the roster, so it might be good to have one who knows the offensive system that Mannion is going to run. FitzPatrick caught 12 of 15 targets for 72 yards and a touchdown in 15 games. This makes more sense than Grant Calcaterra being the backup and gives the Eagles room to still select a starting tight end in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Emmauel Wilson, RB

Philly might still have a deep running back room with Saquon Barkley, Tank Bigsby, and Will Shipley, but if 2025 taught us anything, it's that the fourth running back on the depth chart could be one of the best on the team. Wilson ran for 496 yards and three touchdowns, and he can help in the passing game after 99 yards on 15 receptions. Continuing to build incredible depth at running can only ensure that if an injury happens, the Eagles are still in a good position.

Darian Kinnard, RT

This is a familiar face to Eagles fans, as Kinnard was on the 2024 roster that won the Super Bowl. He spent the last with the Packers after the Eagles traded him at the end of the preseason, as he started three games on the offensive line. It worked out pretty well when the Eagles brought back Fred Johnson last season, and with questions about whether Lane Johnson will return or retire, Kinnard can provide the Eagles with the depth they need on the line.

Romeo Doubs, WR

With so many questions about A.J. Brown's future in Philly, why not bring in a great WR2 option behind DeVonta Smith? Doubs led the Packers in receiving with 724 yards and six touchdowns. In an Eagles offense that is more focused on running the ball, Doubs would be a perfect fit and the right sidekick for Smith.
