Philadelphia Eagles fans now have over 24 hours before the clock starts on the 2026 NFL Draft, with many questions still to be answered.
There is a lot of mystery surrounding the 23rd overall pick of the draft and what Eagles general manager Howie Roseman will do with the selection. ESPN NFL reporter Peter Schrager released his final mock draft of the season as he has the Eagles taking Arizona State offensive tackle Max Iheanachor with the 23rd overall pick.
"Iheanachor is still relatively new to football, playing it for the first time in 2022. But he is one of the players with the biggest upside in the first round. Considering he is still growing and learning, this could be a home run for the Eagles if they are patient. Iheanachor could be the heir apparent to Lane Johnson, who turns 36 in a few weeks."
Peter Schrager predicts Eagles take Max Iheanachor with the 23rd pick
There hasn't been a more popular pick of late in mock drafts than Iheanachor to the Eagles. It makes sense, though, as he is one of the top offensive tackles in the draft and would fit a roster need for the Eagles at right tackle.
Other positions that have been predicted for the Eagles at pick 23 are edge rusher, wide receiver, and safety. The only other position that it could be is potentially tight end, but only if Oregon's Kenyon Sadiq somehow drops, which seems very unlikely.
Roseman loves his linemen early in drafts, so grabbing Iheanachor at 23 would make logical sense for Philly. There is also the option of Clemson's Blake Miller, and if Alabama's Kadyn Proctor drops out of the top 20, he could be picked by the Eagles as well.

This would be a good selection for the Eagles and the most logical one. It's only a matter of whether Roseman will decide to trade up for another player or stick around at 23 and get an offensive tackle for the future.
