Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman is putting the final pieces of his master plan in place heading into the 2026 NFL Draft.
With rumors of trades on the horizon, Roseman knows exactly how he wants to go about the draft and who to bring in. ESPN NFL Draft analyst Jordan Reid shared his new seven-round mock draft, as he has Roseman first taking Arizona State offensive tackle Max Iheanachor with the 23rd overall pick.
"Right tackle Lane Johnson will turn 36 in May and missed eight games due to injury last season. Eagles GM Howie Roseman often drafts eventual replacements for longtime veterans in advance, and Iheanachor is a great player to bring in to execute a Johnson succession plan. Iheanachor won't be ready to start right away, as he's still new to the sport (he started playing in junior college). He still has to learn how to sequence his frame and hand usage when latching into rushers, but he has unlimited potential and would have time to develop in Philadelphia."
Eagles make some fascinating moves after first round of mock draft
Iheanachor has been a common name mentioned as a potential first-round pick by the Eagles. It makes sense as Philly tries to get younger on the offensive line and find the successor to Johnson.
With their second round pick, Reid has the Eagles taking Vanderbilt tight end Eli Stowers.
"The Eagles would be looking ahead with this pick, as Dallas Goedert could be in his last season with the team. Stowers is primarily a receiving tight end who creates mismatch problems for defenses."
Stowers was the second-fastest tight end at the NFL Combine with his 4.51-second 40-yard dash, and he looks the part of a player who can be a great pass catcher. The Eagles need a successor for Goedert as well, so Stowers would make a great selection.
Philly has two third-round picks as Reid has the Eagles taking Clemson wide receiver Antonio Williams with the 68th overall pick and Penn State safety Zakee Wheatley with the 98th overall pick.
"With the A.J. Brown situation unresolved, the Eagles' receivers room needs more depth. Williams is a dynamic playmaker who will likely be a slot at the next level."
"The Eagles are thin at safety after losing Reed Blankenship, and Wheatley is a rangy player who can defend deep passes and crash down in run support."
Here is a look at the rest of the picks by Reid for the Eagles in his mock draft:
- Round 4, Pick 114: Will Lee III, CB, Texas A&M
- Round 4, Pick 137: Cole Payton, QB, North Dakota State
- Round 5, Pick 178: Trey Moore, EDGE, Texas
- Round 6, Pick 197: Trey Smack, K, Florida
The Smack selection would certainly have people talking, as it would put Jake Elliott on notice. That would be a pick that would make all Eagles fans happy after their frustrations with Elliott the last two years.
Payton's selection in the fourth round would be a conversation starter as he has met with the Eagles and been a popular Day 3 mock pick for Philly. If Tanner McKee gets traded, Payton could be a long-term backup solution to Jalen Hurts at quarterback.

There will be more mock drafts coming in as everyone makes their final predictions, but all of them seem to be good for the Eagles, and there's hope from the fan base that they will nail the draft.
