After what has felt like a very long offseason for the Philadelphia Eagles, new information is emerging that should get fans excited about the 2026 season as it gets closer to the beginning.
The NFL revealed the offseason schedule for all 32 NFL teams. Philly will host two mandatory workouts and six voluntary OTAs for the players.
OTAs: May 26-27, May 29, June 1-2, June 4
Minicamp: June 9-10
Eagles' 2026 offseason workout schedule is out
The Athletic's Zach Berman shared how this offseason's workout schedule compares to past ones for the Eagles. In 2025, Philly had the same number of voluntary workouts but had one less mandatory workout than this year. Then, in 2024, it was seven OTAs and three days of mandatory minicamp; finally, in 2023, six days of OTAs and no mandatory minicamp.
It's interesting to see that the more mandatory workouts the Eagles have had, the more successful they've been on the field. The Eagles are smart to have that extra day added from last year to try to gain some momentum heading into a crucial 2026 season. A big reason for that could be that with the new offensive coordinator, Sean Mannion, in place, they want to get those extra reps in.
If Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown is not traded before the June 1 date, the number one storyline from the OTAs is going to be whether Brown actually shows up. He was there last year, so if he doesn't show up, there's a higher chance he will be out the door soon enough.
