Well, it didn't take very long for the Philadelphia Eagles to make quick work of one of their rookies being off the team.
It was reported that the Eagles had released safety Tucker Large and signed linebacker Isiah King. Large was one of the undrafted free agents who signed with the Eagles last week, while King tried out for the team.
Large had 71 tackles and six pass deflections for Washington State last season. King racked up 79 tackles, nine tackles for loss, and three sacks with Idaho in college in 2025.
Eagles swap undrafted rookies on the roster
Eagles general manager Howie Roseman is doing what he does best: his roster gymnastics act as he moves players around. Philly is working to reach 90 players on the roster, but will actually have 91, with rookie seventh-round pick Uar Bernard classified as an international player.
If Eagles fans know the team and Roseman well enough, they know this will not be the last move that gets made for the team. Expect more work to be done despite the minicamp not getting started yet.
There are still needs on the roster that they must address. They could be looking in another direction for safety, which might explain why Large was already being released by the team.
Right now, the starters are projected to be Marcus Epps and Andrew Mukuba, but that could change on a dime with someone else coming in. It's been speculated that the Eagles could be looking to add a veteran safety to compete with Epps for the starting job, as Mukuba should be secure as one of the starters.

As was said before, Roseman should have something up his sleeve, with more roster moves expected soon.
