With the 2026 NFL draft complete, teams will begin piecing together their depth charts for training camp, and many questions will surface, especially for those like the Philadelphia Eagles in transition.

For the Eagles, despite retaining their core talent (and even coaches), one major change has fans wondering about the season's future. Tim McManus of ESPN is asking the important post-NFL Draft question he has: How will the new additions fit in the new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion's scheme?

"A.J. Brown is likely on his way out, as further evidenced by the Eagles' selection of receiver Makai Lemon in Round 1. Philadelphia went with another skill player, tight end Eli Stowers, in the second round. With those two prospects joining DeVonta Smith, Dallas Goedert and Dontayvion Wicks, the new OC has plenty of intriguing options to work with as he shapes the offense in his vision."

Will the new additions be beneficial for Sean Mannion and his Eagles offense?

McManus believes that while the Eagles have plenty of talent, the question boils down to Mannion, the key figure who will allow these players to maximize their skill sets in his offense. Mannion, who's never been an offensive coordinator before, will be going into his 3rd year as a coach after spending two seasons with the Green Bay Packers.

Despite being rather inexperienced as a coach, he has a resume that includes nine seasons as a backup quarterback in the NFL. He's worked behind Jared Goff, Russell Wilson, Kirk Cousins, and Geno Smith, all of whom have earned Pro Bowls, as well as a plethora of competent NFL offensive coordinators.

With all that being said, the question will come down to how his experiences (coupled with Sirianni) can allow the Eagles' offense to be a consistent powerhouse in 2026. Brown is most likely gone at some point, which prompted Philadelphia to draft Makai Lemon as his replacement. Eli Stowers was drafted in the second round, which should serve as a compliment to Dallas Goedert and possibly a replacement within the next two seasons.

With the two prospects joining Smith, Goedert, Saquon Barkley, and Wicks, Philadelphia has plenty of talent and upside to rebound from a "down" 2025 offensive output.

Despite all the pieces in place for success, if the Eagles' offense lacks "buy-in," the results will be similar to the disappointing 2025. The Eagles will now begin their preseason workup, with the rookie minicamp starting, followed by OTAs.
