All Philadelphia Eagles fans are over the negative coverage of quarterback Jalen Hurts with the recent reports about the star signal-caller.
It all started from an ESPN report that shared that Hurts was "uncoachable", changing plays, and being responsible for calling all four vertical routes on the last play of the NFC Wild Card game against the San Francisco 49ers. Eagles general manager Howie Roseman spoke with reporters before the NFL Draft as he was asked about the recent reports on Hurts.
"Yeah. I have seen those reports," Roseman said via Bleeding Green Nation's Brandon Lee Gowton. "Bob (Lange) and our PR staff do a great job of shoeing us what we need to see. I would say that we have some faults. One is not being direct and honest with our players and the conversation with our players. So, for us, if we have any issue with any of our players, we talk to them directly. From my perspective, from Nick's perspective, from Jeffrey's perspective, we're not hiding behind anything. We will talk to our players directly. And I think that it's unfair. It's unfair to have these articles written. But I understand it's also what sells at this point. So, yeah. I think it's unfortunate."
Howie Roseman discussed the recent Jalen Hurts reports
Roseman said just about what Eagles fans would expect him to say about the Hurts reports. Most likely, the Eagles are not happy to have negative storylines about the quarterback out there, with some fans and media members believing it was the team that leaked all this information.
No matter what Roseman had said in the presser, many won't be convinced that the Eagles are 100% fully invested in the future with Hurts. The fact that the Eagles are not going to give Hurts a contract extension is a telling sign for fans that there is something going on with the franchise and their feelings on Hurts.
