The noise is not going away with the Philadelphia Eagles and A.J. Brown trade rumors, as everyone believes it will happen.

Despite the financial issues the Eagles would face in trading Brown, it's still a popular topic and one that will eventually happen, so the team will have to decide who to replace him with. FanSided writer John Blair has the perfect replacement sitting in the 2026 NFL Draft: Washington Huskies wide receiver Denzel Boston.

"When it comes to replacing Brown, one 2026 wide receiver stands out: Washington’s Denzel Boston. He could be a natural fit in Philadelphia due to his similar playing style. Both are big, physical receivers—Boston checks in at 6-foot-4, 210 pounds, compared to Brown at 6-foot-1, 226 pounds. Boston consistently uses his size to outmuscle defensive backs, catching 77% of his contested passes this past season, ranking fourth in the FBS among wide receivers with at least 80 targets."

A.J. Brown could be replaced by Denzel Boston

Boston has produced back-to-back 800-plus-yard seasons with the Huskies, as last year he hit career highs in yards (881) and touchdowns (11). The 6-foot-4 receiver was a third-team All-Big Ten selection in 2025 with the Huskies.

In early mock drafts, Boston has been a popular name to land with the Eagles, as he looks to land in the 20s in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft. Philly has also been projected to go tight end, cornerback, and offensive lineman.

The good thing with Boston is that if Brown does get traded, there's no pressure for him to be the number one guy in the passing game for quarterback Jalen Hurts. Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith would take over that number one spot, and Boston could fit right in as the number two receiver with Darius Cooper potentially taking over as WR3 for Jahan Dotson.

Philly benefits greatly from Boston's size, which the Eagles need in the red zone to grab those jump balls. With Boston's size and Smith's deep threat potential, this Eagles offense might not even miss a beat should Brown find a new home.
