After reviewing the 2026 NFL schedule for the Philadelphia Eagles, there are some mixed feelings regarding how it was set up.
Some media members, like ESPN's Dan Orlovsky, believe the Eagles could legitimately start the season 8-1, given the way the schedule is set up. Other parts of it, though, may not make it as easy as some believe.
From a three-game stretch of NFC East games to not having a bye week after the London game until four games later, there are some rough patches. Eagles fans can at least be happy about one thing that the NFL was able to do for them in 2026.
Eagles did get a little bit of help on 2026 schedule
Last year, the biggest complaint about the Eagles' schedule was that they had no back-to-back home games. This time around, they got an assist from the league, which gave them three back-to-back home games.
Philly will have Week 6 against the Carolina Panthers and Week 7 against the Dallas Cowboys first, and then Week 9 against the New York Giants and Week 11 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, with a bye week sandwiched in. To top it off, the Eagles actually have a three-game stretch at home between Weeks 14 and 16, playing the Indianapolis Colts, Seattle Seahawks, and the Houston Texans within 12 days of each other.
That final stretch sounds rough, but at least they don't have to travel much during that timeframe and can stay at home. While the schedule won't be easy for them, what an advantage it is for the Eagles to have stretches throughout the season when they won't have to put in many miles.

Eagles fans are still months away from knowing whether this will truly work out in their favor, but at least the NFL has fixed the team's biggest problem from last year.
