The wait for Philadelphia Eagles training camp is now at about three weeks until fans can see the 2026 team on the field.

This camp is going to be more intense than in other years since there is more pressure on the Eagles to perform well, or some marquee jobs might become available in the open market next offseason. That means every position battle, whether it is starters or backups, is important this season.

Eagles fans are hoping that the new additions to the team can make any kind of impact this season compared to last year's. There are four players who were added this offseason, and every Eagles fan has to monitor them during training camp, as they will make or break the season for the franchise.

Eagles offseason additions every fan should be watching at training camp

Jonathan Greenard, EDGE

The Eagles gave up two third-round picks to bring in the guy they hope will be a proper replacement for Jaelan Phillips. Greenard went through injury issues late in the season with the Minnesota Vikings in 2025 and only racked up three sacks. Philly needs him to be the guy who got 12 or more sacks in 2023 and 2024, so his fast start at training camp will be needed.

Andy Dalton, QB

That backup quarterback position battle between Tanner McKee and Dalton might end up being more competitive than people expected. Dalton and McKee split the reps at OTAs, with neither guy really blowing anyone away when they took the field. This might end up being one of the last seasons of Dalton's career, so he's looking to end on a high note with the Eagles and could dramatically impact what happens to McKee and whether he finally gets traded.

Makai Lemon, WR

A.J. Brown is out the door, and Eagles starting quarterback Jalen Hurts needs receivers he can trust in a completely new offense under offensive coordinator Sean Mannion. Lemon has some pressure on him entering the 2026 season as a rookie and new starting slot receiver. The Eagles need him to be a star right away to justify the Brown trade and could silence any critics with a stellar performance in camp.

Riq Woolen, CB

Woolen was a star early on at OTAs, as he played great coverage and picked off Hurts in practice. The Eagles are hoping for big things from the young cornerback they gave a one-year prove-it deal to, with him being the new CB2 on the team, working with All-Pro corners Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean. If Woolen can continue the momentum in training camp, it will be a clear message to the NFL that no one is throwing it on this Eagles team.
