Most Philadelphia Eagles fans are expecting them to take an offensive lineman in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft.

There have been some key names attached to them at pick 23 on the offensive line, including Arizona State's Max Iheanachor and Clemson's Blake Miller. One other name is more likely a top-15 pick, but if he falls to the Eagles, he would instantly be their pick.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport mentioned that the Eagles have talked to Alabama offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor during his 30 visits. Proctor met with the Eagles during the NFL Combine as well.

Eagles have spoke with Kadyn Proctor just before 2026 NFL Draft

Last season, Proctor was a consensus All-American and first-team All-SEC selection. He allowed 19 total pressures, four quarterback hits, and two sacks on 527 pass blocking snaps. Pro Football Focus gave him an 85.4 overall grade, ranking ninth out of 631 offensive tackles in the nation.

This draft is all about the Eagles finding the successor to right tackle Lane Johnson and, potentially, a backup plan for left guard Landon Dickerson. The team faced a scare in the offseason when Johnson and Dickerson almost retired from the NFL.

Proctor is one of the top tackles in this draft, with incredible size at 6-foot-7 and 352 pounds. He has all the mechanics on the line to be a great run and pass blocker in the NFL. There is no better mentor he is going to have in front of them that learning from a future Hall of Famer in Johnson.

Don't be surprised if Proctor drops in the NFL Draft; Eagles general manager Howie Roseman considers a jump into the top 20 to go grab him. Philly would love to have Proctor on their team and backing up Johnson until his time comes.
