One thing about Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts: he minds his business. All the veteran quarterback does is lead Philly to wins, speak like a philosopher, and go about his day. Unfortunately, that doesn’t keep the quarterback’s name from getting dragged into some of the silliest conversations.
The latest example of that came in a recent episode of The Right Time with Bomani Jones. Jones was talking about veteran quarterback Kyler Murray, who the Arizona Cardinals are planning to release, and he was making the case that Murray’s reputation throughout the league doesn’t accurately represent the quality of his skills. That led to Jones going through a list of quarterbacks in the NFL, saying who he would prefer to have Murray over.
When he was asked who he’d rather have between Murray and Jalen Hurts, Jones said he would rather have Murray. Of course, the clip was shared on social media, with Hurts named in the caption.

Bomani Jones says he would prefer to have Kyler Murray over Jalen Hurts
Jones and his producer went on to say that if Murray were the Eagles' quarterback, the NFL would have a much happier A.J. Brown. It was an absolutely wild take, but the most frustrating part for Philadelphia fans is that it was unnecessary.
What Kyler Murray has going on with the Arizona Cardinals and the rest of the NFL has absolutely nothing to do with Jalen Hurts. Still, like the majority of the discussions that Hurts’ name comes up in, the quarterback was introduced into the conversation only to get disrespected. Jones could have easily made his point without bringing up the Eagles quarterback.
While there is some truth to Jones’ original point that Murray isn’t as respected as he should be, the irony is that he brought up someone who deals with that same issue: Jalen Hurts. Hurts has done nothing but get better and win since entering the NFL. The veteran quarterback has made three Pro Bowls, been an All-Pro, finished second in MVP voting, been the best player in two Super Bowls, and actually won a Super Bowl title and Super Bowl MVP.

Still, he has to deal with his name being dragged through nonsensical conversations like this one. Ultimately, Hurts will do what he always does: let his play do the talking.
