Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni usually likes to leave his emotions on the football field, not at the podium, but he showed how he and the team are ready to go.
While there shouldn't be any questions about it, some might wonder whether the Eagles are hungry to win another Super Bowl, having already done so a season ago. Sirianni made sure to put those concerns to rest with his animated response to how competitive the Eagles will be for the postseason.
“You want to run it back. They have that hunger.”

The Eagles are ready to rock and roll in the postseason
What a year it has been for the Birds, from the drama surrounding wide receiver A.J. Brown to all the criticisms of Jalen Hurts as a quarterback to even that positivity rabbit we'll leave for dead. This Eagles season had an unusual amount of attention towards them, but every Super Bowl defending team will have a massive target on its back.
Despite having one of the league's toughest schedules, the Eagles fought through it and produced an 11-6 season and won the NFC East for the second straight season, for the first time in over 20 years. This Eagles team proved they can play under any conditions and demonstrate their championship-caliber focus in everything they do.
Sure, the offense has looked like a shell of its 2024 self, but the defense has been steamrolling opponents over the last two months and carrying this team to the postseason. That doesn't mean the offense hasn't been working its way back up, as the rushing attack is starting to pick up from where they left off last year.
This Eagles team is getting some key pieces back for the postseason, including starting right tackle Lane Johnson, who practiced for the first time in about two months. Sirianni's decision to rest the starters in Week 18, while controversial, at least puts them in a much better position than their Wild Card opponents, the San Francisco 49ers, who are as battered and bruised as a team can get for this time of the year.

Philly may not be in as good a place as they were back when they hoisted the Lombardi Trophy last February, but they are battling and have all the right pieces in place to win the Super Bowl again.
